Cleansing Diet Trend: Souping

Juicing has taken the diet world by storm and now Souping is fast catching up to it.  You guessed it correctly; eating soup meals on the daily is becoming a very popular trend with the masses.  This particular diet consists of breakfast soups, lunch and dinner soups.  All of which are made from all kinds of different ingredients to suite each meal.

Unlike juicing, where most of the fibre gets squeezed out of the food, soups get cooked in such a way that all the nutrients remain in the soup.  You get breakfast soups that contain fruits and lunch and supper soups containing whole vegetables.

The vegetables contained in soups as well as the carbs will leave you feeling fuller for longer unlike a Juice cleanse that can be quite brutal to complete.  Another reason that more and more people are choosing Souping is because of the lowered sugar levels.  Juice cleanses contain high levels of sugar and have very little nutrients that your body can benefit from.

Cleansing is a great way to get rid of toxins and let some of your organs rest.  Souping is a great way to cleanse the body and will definitely help with weight loss.  However keeping to these diets for long periods of time may not be good for your health.  The maintenance of weight loss after such cleanses can also be very difficult, and so it is always wise to include these as part of a healthy and balanced diet and not a quick fix.

You can detox your body from anywhere between one day during the week, or during the weekend once a month, or even for 7 to 14 days at every change of season.  It really is all up to you and what you are comfortable with.  I am definitely going to be trying this trend and will give you guy’s feedback on my experience once I have done it.
